Focussed coaching of junior petrophysical staff working on specific projects
Informal coaching and mentoring to petrophsyicists, geoscientists and general petroleum engineering on technical and career related topics
Past Experience
Within Shell, responsible for development of graduate and junior petrophysical staff 2007-2016. Extensive involvement in one-to-one coaching. Received Shell’s Technical Coach of the Year award in 2012. Finalist in Mentoring Category Oil and Gas UK Awards 2011
Supervision and mentoring of Petrophysics summer students on the Shell Assessed Internship programme 2008-2014.

Professional Training Experience
Specialist Courses – 2010-2015 – Taught one-day event on core analysis planning and QC on Shell Phase II Petrophysics programme: 1-3 events per year. Presented on permeability upscaling, saturation height modelling and shaly sand analysis various at SPWLA workshops in Aberdeen and London
Technical Report Writing – SPE Technical Editor Workshops 2001-2014. Internal workshops on technical report writing in Shell, 2015.
Mentoring/Coaching – 2013-2015 – Served as Business Faculty on Shell Senior Leader of Teams training programme – two three-day events per year, personal focus on leadership coaching.
